First Responders Appreciation Day

TIME: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
LOCATION: OPFOB Event Barn

Attention Law Enforcement, Firefighters, EMTs, Dispatchers, and First Responders of all kinds—OPFOB is calling you home.
Join us for the 4th Annual First Responders Appreciation Day, our biggest celebration yet of the men and women who run toward danger so the rest of us don't have to. Bring your family, bring your crew, and come ready for a day built entirely for you.
This year carries special significance as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. Together, we will honor the first responders who answered the call during our nation's darkest day, remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and recognize the courage, selflessness, and unwavering commitment that continue to define the first responder community today.
Returning by popular demand, the Battle of the Badges Challenge Course will once again put your grit, teamwork, and endurance to the test. Four-person teams will race the clock through six mission-based challenges, completed in sequence and to standard. Think your department has what it takes? Register your team and find out.
Beyond the competition, the day is packed with the tradition and camaraderie that have made this event a Lowcountry favorite: open range time, police and fire department static displays, K9 demonstrations, live music, kids' activities, yard games, raffles, and great food and beverages—all on us.
This is more than an appreciation day. It's an opportunity to pause, remember the heroes of September 11th, honor those who have continued to answer the call in the 25 years since, and stand together as one community in gratitude for those who protect and serve.
Attendance is free. Registration is required.

“I attended your First Responders Appreciation Day and this event turned out to be way more than I had anticipated. As a 911 First Responder with the NYPD I have been to many First Responders events, but this one was filled with genuine caring, concern, and understanding of what first responders and veterans have endured. If one person that day now has a better outlook then OPFOB achieved something wonderful.”
