On These Grounds of Honor, Their Courage Lives On

Grounds of Honor

Grounds of Honor at Operation Patriots FOB honors veterans and first responders by name, story, and legacy

At Operation Patriots FOB, Every Name has a Story.

Grounds of Honor at Operation Patriots FOB is a memorial space honoring veterans and first responders who served on the line for others. Families and friends gather here to remember by name, share stories, and keep their legacy alive.

Read the stories of the heroes we remember at OPFOB.

OPFOB

More Than a Name.

A Life, A Legacy, And A Promise Not to Forget.

At OPFOB, we meet veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and their families in some of their highest and lowest moments. We’ve seen how powerful it is when a life of service is remembered well, with stories, laughter, courage, and the impact they had on others.

Grounds of Honor exist to:

  • Honor their sacrifice: recognizing the cost of service, whether on the battlefield, in the line of duty, or in the battles fought at home.
  • Support healing and connection: giving families, friends, and brothers and sisters in arms a place to remember together.
  • Inspire future generations: so that children, grandchildren, and our community can see what service, bravery, and love of country truly look like.

Each memorial is a quiet reminder: we will always keep their memory alive as their legacy lives on in all we do.

“I can’t thank you enough for what you have done for my family—we now have a place that is truly home for my dad. I know in my heart that he is smiling down on all of us. I appreciated the opportunity to pay tribute to a brave man who loved his country.

Unfortunately, so often family members are passed on the PTSD that our loved ones have carried with them. Suicide carries a lot of baggage for the family left behind, and for the first time since November 1980, I feel my heart has certainly been lifted, and a peace is now with me.”

Honor A Hero with A Memorial Paver

Make Their Name Part of The Foundation We Stand On

For a donation of $150, you can purchase a personalized Memorial Paver to honor a veteran and/or first responder. Each engraved brick is placed around the flagpole at the entrance of OPFOB, a lasting tribute at the heart of our 268-acre retreat in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Your Paver:

  • Honors their life and service with a permanently engraved message
  • Becomes part of a shared place of remembrance, seen by everyone who enters OPFOB
  • Directly supports our mission to serve veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and their families through no-cost programs and peer-to-peer connections.

This isn’t just a brick in the ground.

It’s a promise that their service, sacrifice, and story will not be forgotten.

Memorials That Support the Mission

Every Story Remembered Helps Us Serve the Living

At OPFOB, memorials are not only about looking back but also about moving us forward. The support generated through Memorial Pavers and tribute gifts helps us provide:

  • Free retreats, outdoor activities, and peer-to-peer programs
  • A safe, welcoming space for veterans, first responders, and their families
  • Opportunities to reconnect with purpose, community, and hope

When you honor a hero here, you also help another one take a step toward healing.

 They stood for us.
This is one way we stand for them.
