Jon Shaver

Enlisted at age 17 and served in the U.S. Army 1967-1970.  Holds multiple academic degrees including a doctorate from UCLA and an MBA from Pepperdine University.  Formerly a tenured professional and senior administrator at Fresno State University and was recruited by Governor Pete Wilson in California to head a state agency which was spun off into a non-profit corporation and subsequently experienced significant growth and success in the student loan business.  Has held multiple senior executive and CEO positions, including in both non-profit and for-profit organizations.  He has had extensive experience working with Congress and the Senate in Washington, D.C. as a subject matter expert and expert witness on several subjects.  He retired in 2014 as Chairman of the Board of a publicly traded corporation which he and his partners took public in 2012.  Formerly from Frisco, Texas he now lives on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. 

He is a published author of multiple professional papers and articles, a fiction novel, and in the field of ballistics, handloading, and competitive handgun shooting.
