Grounds of Honor

On These Grounds of Honor, Their Courage Lives On.

At Operation Patriots FOB,

Every Name Has A Story.

OPFOB’s Grounds of Honor is a network of memorials woven throughout our property, each one honoring a veteran or first responder who selflessly served us all. Across these spaces, families and friends come together to remember, to share stories, and to keep these names alive.

OPFOB

More Than a Name.

A Life, A Legacy, And A Promise Not to Forget.

We meet veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and their families in some of their highest and lowest moments. We’ve seen how powerful it is when a life of service is remembered well, with stories, laughter, courage, and the impact they had on others.

Grounds of Honor exist to:

  • Honor their sacrifice: recognizing the cost of service, whether on the battlefield, in the line of duty, or in the battles fought at home.
  • Support healing and connection: giving families, friends, and brothers and sisters in arms a place to remember together.
  • Inspire future generations: so that children, grandchildren, and our community can see what service, bravery, and love of country truly look like.

Each memorial is a quiet reminder: we will always keep their memory alive as their legacy lives on in all we do.

“I can’t thank you enough for what you have done for my family—we now have a place that is truly home for my dad. I know in my heart that he is smiling down on all of us. I appreciated the opportunity to pay tribute to a brave man who loved his country.

For the first time since November 1980, I feel my heart has certainly been lifted, and a peace is now with me.”

Honor A Hero With A Memorial Paver

Make Their Name Part of The Foundation We Stand On

For a donation of $150 or $300, you can place a personalized Memorial Paver at OPFOB to honor a veteran or first responder.

Each engraved paver is installed around the flagpole at the entrance of our 268-acre retreat in the South Carolina Lowcountry. Every guest who enters OPFOB passes this space of honor and remembrance.

Your Memorial Paver:

  • Honors their life, service, and sacrifice with a permanently engraved tribute
  • Creates a visible place of remembrance for families, friends, and fellow service members
  • Supports OPFOB’s mission to serve veterans, active duty military, first responders, and their families through no-cost programs and peer-to-peer connections.

This is more than a name on stone.

It is a lasting promise that their service and story will never be forgotten.

Memorials That Support the Mission

Every Story Remembered Helps Us Serve the Living

At OPFOB, memorials are not only about looking back but also about moving us forward. The support generated through Memorial Pavers and tribute gifts helps us provide:

  • Free retreats, outdoor activities, and peer-to-peer programs
  • A safe, welcoming space for veterans, first responders, and their families
  • Opportunities to reconnect with purpose, community, and hope

When you honor a hero here, you also help another one take a step toward healing.

They stood for us. Now it's our turn to stand for them.
